Washington Welcomes European Culture Groups

imagesWashington is famous for so much more than its amazing fruit production! In fact, the state is now becoming home to many different ancestries that meet together to keep their culture and traditions alive. As Bruges franchise restaurants prepare to open in Washington, we are pleased to see the growth of Belgian, French and other European groups within the state. Since we share values with many of the Franco/Belgian groups that exist, we are excited to work with groups like these:

Belgian Club of Washington

Whether its members are gathering for picnics, barbeques, or other social and cultural events, the Belgian Club of Washington offers both Belgians and friends of Belgium a place to meet, network, and share both ideas and cultural information. The club has been meeting on a regular basis for over 20 years, and welcomes new members and friends. Flemish language skills are not required. To stay up to date on the club’s events, participate in their forum, or share information, visit: http://belgianclubwa.ning.com/

Alliance Française de Seattle

The Alliance Française was founded in 1883, and has grown to be the largest network of French language and cultural centers in the world with 800 chapters worldwide! The Seattle chapter provides both cultural activities and language classes for adults and children of all ages. Whether you are interested in learning more about the culture, improving your language skills or connecting with other French natives, the Alliance has a place for you. French-American Chamber of Commerce (Pacific Northwest)

The French-American Chamber of Commerce is committed to helping its members by providing a wide array of services and events. Both individual and corporate members have their networks expanded through participating with the chamber, and the main focus is on French-American trade relations. Eastside French Club

Whether it is meeting up for dinner, coffee, movies, or games, this group invites all levels of French speakers, and those interested in learning. For information on their meet up schedule, visit: http://www.meetup.com/Eastside-French-Club/

Bruges franchise restaurants are excited to see the activity of these and many other Franco/Belgian groups in the Washington area. We look forward to opening our first franchise restaurant in the state, and being able to welcome your groups to meet and enjoy delicious, authentic Belgian waffles!
