Bruges is a charming, cosmopolitan town in the northern part of Belgium where Pierre Vandamme spent his childhood savoring the smells, sights and flavors of his grandmother’s old-world culinary creations. When he met fellow-Belgian Philippe Wyffels in Salt Lake City in 2002, they shared childhood memories and together set out on a quest to recreate the flavor and texture of the true Liège Waffle they remembered so fondly from their childhoods.
